Safeway, Salons by JC and Rossmoor Diner see changes

An easing of COVID-19 restrictions spells an uptick in business at Rossmoor Shopping Center.

“There’s quite a bit going on,” said Terrence Tallen of Rossmoor Retail Partners, which owns the shopping center. “The big news is that Safeway has completed a remodel of the store’s interior and Salons by JC is open and absolutely gorgeous.”

He added that patio furniture will be installed in the new courtyard, between Wells Fargo and Salons by JC, in the next week or so.

Safeway store manager Mark Starsiak said he’s getting a “ton of good feedback” from customers about the supermarket’s new look.

“The whole interior has been repainted and new fixtures and signage installed throughout,” Starsiak said. “The men’s and women’s bathrooms have been completely remodeled.”

New are shopping aisles named after nearby streets, such as Olympic Boulevard and Comstock Drive.

Safeway’s Michelle Young stocks the Safeway seafood counter, which now carries more fresh fish choices.
