Tallen Capital Partners, LLC (TCP) and related current and former entities (TCP)* are privately owned, entrepreneurial retail and mixed-use investment and development companies with offices in the San Francisco Bay Area market, Southern California, and the midwestern U.S. TCP owns and/or has developed retail projects throughout the West Coast and Florida, many in communities with high barriers to entry due to land use, municipality constraints and a limited supply of developable land. TCP has a recognized track record in institutional grade assets as well as value added repositioning and redevelopment of under performing shopping centers and dark retailer big boxes into multi-family and self-storage.
The company is known in the retail real estate industry for the successful repositioning of properties and achieving significant returns on invested capital through the redevelopment of under-performing shopping center and retail projects in both urban and suburban markets. TCP believes the value creation process is dependent upon establishing strong relationships within communities, staying connected to the market, adeptly addressing the discretionary approval process, while being focused on establishing successful locations for its national, regional and local tenant and broker relationships.
The founder of Tallen Capital Partners, LLC, Terrence P. Tallen, has over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry and in generating strong returns on investment on behalf of their own assets as well as on behalf of public companies (REITs), institutional owners and private investment concerns. Mr. Tallen has previously held senior leadership positions within large retail REITs and private investment platforms.
TCP has a noteworthy track record in successfully initiating and executing upon value added retail properties and effectively resolving specialized scenarios involving complicated lender, legal, entitlement, investor and tenant issues.
